It would appear that the recent recession and current austerity measures in the UK have finally made people wake up and think about their personal loan and credit card debt as well as their own personal financial situation in general. More than 80 per cent of people living in the UK claim to have made changes to their spending habits over the course of the last twelve months, due to the economic conditions, according to a new survey. The survey from the insolvency trade body, R3, has found that more than half of the UK population has cut back on spending on non essential items, such as clothing and things like DVD’s and CD’s, in an attempt to save some money and pay off their outstanding unsecured loan an credit card debts
