With the strain on household finances becoming ever tighter, it appears that a growing number of people with personal loans and other debts are counting their debts on a night, rather than counting sheep, according to one debt charity. Recent figures from the Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) have shown that as money becomes tighter through growing personal loan and credit card debts and wages are either remaining static, or in many cases actually shrinking, many borrowers are worrying more and more about their personal finances and loans, to the degree where they are losing sleep over the matter. The CCCS has said that although it receives calls from people seeking loan debt advice all day, it also received around 50,000 phone calls between midnight and one o’clock in the morning, from people who are so worried about their loans and other debts, that they are unable to get to sleep at night
